What have you been putting off doing? Why?
Blogging got put on hold, along with making plans for new website, approaching new spaces and selling my work a few months ago. Stepping in when needed for a family emergency took priority and I had the ability to do it. This is the beauty of self employment Now, however I need to be getting ready for Oxton Art Fair and Oxton Open Studios as well as make some money again.
My studio has not been useable or in proper functional state since June/July and prior to my RETRO sale for DEMENTIA charities, I did get a chance to tidy up and make some changes, removing the doors from the showcase given to me earlier in the year.
I am preparing an order for Sydney at the moment and have some new stickers and new branding as I shift away from ABSCRAFT to using my own name Alison Bailey Smith.
RETRO was a vintage sale in aid of dementia charities and this was the second one. It allowed time for people to talk about their own memories and sell some of the treasures saved by my family.
A huge amount of work cleaning, prepping and curating but worthwhile. I will reveal the total when all the monies come in very soon.
