We are working on plans at Wellington Road Art Studios to be open on part of the last Sunday of the month to coincide with new Oxton Village Market at the nearby RAFA club on Columbia Road. Sounds like a great destination for foodies and “foodies” are also often arty types who we like very much 😀.

We will be mostly set up as we are when we are creating there but also a nod towards the tidiness of when we take part in Wirral Open Studios or our Christmas event.

We often find random people wandering in the courtyard who are curious about the buildings are their former purpose – more of this later and others are keen to find out about what goes on in the studio. Few people realise the two units house seven artists/jewellers/ceramicists/painters/basket makers – and yes many of us multitask. Watch this space or our studio page or even Studios of Oxton as we will finalise these details soon.

Not every artist will be present at each event but each will have a presence in their work being available to see in our gallery space.

Many of us take cards and all take cash. We also have many greetings cards and can make you a cup of tea.

I myself, always have deliveries of interesting rubbish at the studio and happy to distribute interesting waste to creative types and this may become a pivotal morning for collection/drop off.
