I am running a one day creative workshop in Newton Village Hall, Wirral in May to create maquettes of a dandelion, Welsh Poppy and Bluebell using waste materials.

The idea of the flowers (see workshop flyer image) came about through a project with #wirralenvironmentalnetwork and the dinky maquettes were made to share the concept with @wirralmetcollege who assisted with the welding and my marvellous welding tutor @d_mon_forged .

The giant flowers have been all over the Wirral and now back to me for a progress report before possibly being somewhere exciting for the summer. Some repairs are needed after being outside for a long time but all in hand. #scale #scalemodel BUT for the workshop I need VITALITE cartons from Lidl. Anyone got any? #plastics Creative recycling can be learnt and then it becomes a natural way to not see this as waste but as a useful other resource. #thereisnoaway #planb #earthkind #repurpose #upcycle
