Planning two new workshops

I often get approached by textile groups or adult networks to run classes and whilst my Mother was alive and son still at school I did not do so many. I did not follow up as needed to keep my risks low of passing on Covid. Now, I have to pay my studio rent!

Last year I developed a new class called Urban Foraging – making brooches from found objects using cold connection techniques. This year I have two new workshops – a rag rug brooch class that can be done in 2 hours and a day long class making miniature flowers in a frame.

My workshops are about genuine creativity and about exploring the qualities of materials – plastic, metal and fabric. I encourage the use of sustainable practice even with recycled materials as they are a valuable resource.

I don’t want to see perfect copies of my pieces at the end of the day, I want to see my techniques and suggestions used along with each participants knowledge, experience and creativity to solve problems and get great results.
